The West Coast Aerospace quality system conforms to all requirements of MIL-I-45208, with Statistical Process Control, and systems which stress prevention rather than detection of non-conformance.

To meet customer shipping requirements, West Coast Aerospace uses the most advanced packaging, barcoding, and labeling equipment available, to ensure optimum accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Our shipping department personnel are on-call (24) hours per day, (7) days per week in order to support customer emergency, and AOG requirements. Most AOG shipments are made within (4) hours of receipt of order.

Experienced, and knowledgeable, the West Coast Aerospace Engineering group provides technical assistance and customer support, including special applications design and implementation.

Each lot of fasteners manufactured by West Coast Aerospace is subject to rigorous acceptance tests. These include:


Mechanical testing is performed using the most technologically advanced equipment available today. Testing is performed utilizing computer control to eliminate variability and ensure accuracy.

Metallurgical specimens are prepared using fully automated polishing equipment which provides consistent specimens of the highest quality for evaluation. Evaluations include photographic and magnifications up to 1000x.

Dimensional inspection is performed using such devices as laser micrometers, optical comparators, and digital measuring tools.

Preparation of microexamination specimens is accomplished with the Struers Modular Automatic Preparation System (MAPS)
This self contained unit performs each step of the polishing sequence from plane grinding to final cleaning and drying. The computer controlled dosing, wheel speed and downforce ensure a flat scratch free specimen with excellent edge retention and consistant repeatability.

Hot and cold head forging methods are used to manufacture a wide variety of standard and oversize Hi-Lok, and Hi-Tigue fasteners, straight shank pins, customer special orders, and our light weight Ultra-Lite fastener.

Automated screw machines manufacture a full range of Blind-Bolt and Blind-Nut fasteners (which consist of a sleeve, and expander nut.) Hi-Lok Collars, and other customer special orders.
